The perfect sink area
Custom design, high functionality
Werner believes it is time to "really think about furniture in the bathroom." This makes particular sense in the sink area, the heart of every bathroom, because on the one hand it has a decisive influence on the character and style of the entire room, and on the other hand, everything has to function well here.
In addition to organization and storage space, comfort and individual taste are key factors when deciding on design, material, color, and features.
Solitary pieces such as the Cape Cod vanity with countertop sink designed by Philippe Starck or the DuraStyle vanity with wooden frame designed by Matteo Thun & Antonio Rodriguez make a striking statement. Cape Cod captivates with its unique design language and authentic materials, solid real wood and thin-walled washbowls in three shapes.
DuraStyle is characterized by rounded edges and basin rims. Open shelves create an airy overall impression.
Vanity with matching base units form a perfect visual unit and offer practical storage space. With Happy D.2, for example, there are five widths to choose from. Inside, the Duravit interior system made of maple or walnut keeps everything tidy.
With P3 Comforts, the generous storage space of the 105 cm wide asymmetrical vanity immediately catches the eye.
Duravit has developed completely new, minimalist washbasin solutions with 'c-bonded'. With this new technology, the vanity is joined to the base cabinet in a complex process to create a virtually seamless finish.
Individual and versatile, console solutions offer a wide range of combination options. They look elegant and light and can be expanded with vanity units to provide additional storage space. The X-Large and L-Cube series (designed by Christian Werner) create nuanced, perfectly designed sink areas that offer a high level of comfort.
Built-in vanities are sanded flat in an extra step. Inserted from above into a countertop or furniture base, the vanity edge fits perfectly, creating plenty of storage space. Alternatively, there are also vanities that are inserted from below and attached under the countertop. Other variants include semi-recessed vanities and countertop sinks in many different shapes and designs. These are also sanded flat in an extra step. Popular classics are the rectangular countertop sinks from Vero in combination with consoles and furniture from the X-Large series. With variable widths from 80 to 200 cm, the consoles make optimal use of the space and can also be fitted as niche solutions.
Light and mirrors
Zonal light sources are best positioned directly on the mirror with easy-to-use lighting elements, such as sensor-controlled L-Cube mirrors and Mirror cabinets with a light frame. Ambient lighting can be positioned above or below the sink area, as with Vero. A third light source should be planned for the bathroom in the form of mood lighting that provides light and is also an object of interest in its own right. One example is the mirror from the Cape Cod series by Philippe Starck: the wide, surrounding LED light frames the mirror, adds accents to the bathroom, and can be dimmed via an infrared sensor. Bright lighting on the mirror has a dual effect – that's why dimmable zonal light sources and ambient lighting around the mirror are optimally placed.

accessories
From soap dispensers and towel rails to cosmetic mirrors, accessories offer practical solutions for the bathroom and complete the sink area and beyond. The timelessly modern D-Code range and the linear Karree accessories in chrome and satin-finished glass are so versatile that they harmonize with virtually all Duravit bathroom series while giving the room an individual look.

Color and materials
There are virtually no limits to the design possibilities: Duravit offers a range of around 50 different colors as a basis. The decorative surfaces range from white to various wood tones and graphite matt to the unusual linen decorative surface. Selected real wood veneers in walnut, oak, or chestnut also remain an important trend. High-gloss lacquers in apricot pearl, jade, or dolomiti gray, as well as silk matt lacquers in the Scandinavian shades of Nordic white, stone gray, or light blue, bring color into the bathroom.
