Ugolini Headquarters

The new management and production headquarters, comprising three buildings, is located on a trapezoidal site measuring 64,000 m². One of the major challenges was to accommodate the various spatial requirements and construction systems of the office building, production plant and warehouse without detracting from the overall architectural appearance.

The 3000-square-meter office building reinterprets the morphology of a Lombard farmhouse with an open courtyard and is home to four large trees that help to enliven the collective space. The interiors are characterized by a combination of understated and sophisticated materials, handcrafted with great attention to detail. For example, the three lobbies are completely clad in solid wood. Meeting rooms and offices are organized as open spaces, with large window fronts connecting employees through direct visual contact.

In the foyers, cement-effect floor coverings feature the same colors as the factory and warehouse industrial floors, creating a link to the production environment.
The 5,500 m² production area is located adjacent to the offices and can be viewed through window openings from the "research and development" area. The 5,700 m² warehouse, on the other hand, is a free-standing building.

As a communal area, the courtyard ultimately connects all areas of the company. Seating surrounded by vegetation in the form of green spaces and trees invites people to meet and rest outside during breaks.
Three meters high and with a diameter of seven to nine meters, four large circular LED lights are embedded in the overall geometric design as extraordinary elements.

With perfectly designed shapes that do not dominate the room, the Duravit series ME by Starck and DuraStyle blend harmoniously into the overall ambience. In addition, DuraStyle Vital washbasins and toilets ensure good accessibility for barrier-free bathrooms.
