Apartment 47, Fritz Lauterbad Hotel

In the late summer of 2021, Fritz Lauterbad opened a stylish and distinctive accommodation in the historic Residence area of the hotel: Apartment 47.

This project was created by host Steffen Schilliger in cooperation with Monkey 47 and Stilmanipulation from Cologne with the motto: "Offline is the new luxury". The hotel invites its guests to an oasis of calm. With a balcony and a view of the surrounding forest, Apartment 47 offers the perfect retreat – far away from the permanent accessibility and the fast pace of everyday life.

Designed with retro chic charm, the apartment is an "offline space": a vintage lifestyle is realized here with elements such as a tube television, a record player with vinyl records, and a typewriter. The bar is the centerpiece of the apartment – the "Copper Bar" is named after the stills used to brew the fine juniper schnapps Monkey 47.

The apartment also has a bedroom and two bathrooms. Here, Duravit is represented with toilets and washbasins from the D-Neo series by designer Bertrand Lejoly. In line with the project's motto, the series transforms the bathroom into a place of calm with subtle colors, clear edges and a tangible sense of order, thus countering the sensory overload of modern life. The D-Neo vanity units with wood-effect surfaces create a connection to the natural environment surrounding the hotel, while also providing a sophisticated look. An ME by Starck urinal and circular mirrors with lighting from the Universal Light and Mirror series complete the two bathrooms.
