Can ceramics be repaired?
Our ceramic sanitary ware is made of natural raw materials and only acquires its dimensional stability through firing at over 1,200°C. For this reason, it is not possible to repair it at a later date. In the field of ceramic sanitary ware, among other things, hygienic aspects are also important. It is simply not possible to produce a cold repair material that permanently guarantees the same properties as the fired ceramic glaze.
Can acrylic be repaired?

Alternatively, we will be happy to send you information on professionals who may be able to carry out the repair in such a way that almost no color difference is visible afterwards. Black streaks on the vanity?
Metal abrasion can be removed from tiles without WonderGliss coating using an abrasive cleaning agent. Mr. Muscle's Stahlfix classic, for example, is suitable for this.
How can stubborn dirt or limescale be removed from the ceramic?
Allow the cleaner (e.g. pure citric acid) to take effect for a while. Simply moisten the affected areas with cleaning liquid (you can also use a cloth or toilet paper soaked in liquid) and leave it to take effect for a few hours. After that, the dirt can often be removed very easily. As an alternative to citric acid, vinegar, vinegar essence or vinegar cleaner can be used. Foamy cleaners have the advantage that they adhere to smooth and vertical surfaces for longer than liquid cleaners. Foam can also be sprayed directly under the toilet rim. Limescale dirt, bacteria and germs can thus be reliably removed.
Are bathroom furniture resistant to water?
Duravit bathroom furniture is suitable for the bathroom and resistant to normal moisture. Standing water on wooden (melamine) cover plates should be wiped off. We recommend wiping the furniture down with a dry cloth after an intensive shower or bath and ventilating the room well, or, in the case of internal baths, using an extractor fan.
Why has my toilet seat turned yellow?
The toilet seat material is a high-quality plastic with a hygienically sealed surface. For this reason, cleaning with water and mild soap is sufficient. This surface is not only destroyed when aggressive cleaning agents are used directly, but also by vapors when a cleaning agent is left to work in the toilet bowl with the toilet seat closed. The use of fragrance blocks on the rim or tabs for cisterns with a slot can also destroy the surface of the toilet seat. The hygienically sealed protective layer is damaged by the effects of vapors and, under the microscope, the pores in the surface open. The capillary effect allows the urine-water mixture to penetrate the surface and the toilet seat to discolor. If you use a toilet cleaner to clean the toilet, make sure that the toilet seat and cover remain open and only close them once the cleaning agent has been completely rinsed out of the toilet bowl, so that the vapors of the cleaner cannot attack the surface of the toilet seat and hinges.
How do I care for acrylic bathtubs?
Generally speaking, acrylic is easy to keep clean with a soft cloth and a little water. Please avoid abrasive cleaners at all costs. For occasional thorough cleaning and to remove stubborn stains, we recommend the Duravit care set for acrylic surfaces # 790301 00 0 00 00000 - available from specialist retailers. Heavy stains can also be removed with methylated spirits. Then rinse with warm water.
How do I clean WonderGliss-coated ceramics?
Clean your WonderGliss-coated ceramic surface daily with a damp cloth. Make sure that the cloth is always clean. Microfiber cloths are not recommended. If the use of a cleaner is necessary, we recommend the use of a mild agent such as a commercial vinegar-based cleaner (see recommendations in the care instructions). Acidic cleaners (based on acetic or citric acid) are particularly good for removing any limescale. You can use a toilet brush as usual to clean your toilet. If, contrary to expectations, stubborn dirt has formed on the finish, simply leave your bathroom cleaner to work overnight. Foam cleaners are particularly suitable for this, as they adhere well to sloping finishes. Alternatively, you can place toilet paper soaked in cleaner on the dirt.
