Aarhus City Tower

Aarhus currently combines the fastest-growing population in Denmark with a phenomenal urban development: highlights include architectural landmarks such as the Moesgard Museum, The Aarhus Art Museum (ARoS) and now the tall and shimmering black Aarhus City Tower. They demonstrate this Scandinavian country's enormous potential and creative drive.

Built by the Danish architectural firm Arkitema Architects, the 92-metre tower is a new symbol that lends a fresh face to the city centre. It is also an expressive declaration for the new skyline, with 23 floors housing, among other tenants, a 240-bed Comwell Hotel fitted throughout with Duravit ceramics from the Starck 3 and Vero series. The entire southern façade of this low-energy building is clad with a photovoltaic system that brings a black-and-white shimmering appearance to this tower with a two-piece look. In the entrance area, throughout the ground floor and in the car park of the Aarhus City Tower, Peter Skovgaard has installed a work of light art that attracts everyone's attention. The LED images change at regular intervals and can be seen both day and night.
