The listed building is located just a few kilometers north of Copenhagen and, after extensive renovations, will become a place of well-being for body and soul. Sauna, infrared sauna, sauna shower, sea bath, yoga and a café invite you to relax on the beach.
The renovation was carried out with great respect for the late designer and his original designs. Jacobsen's unmistakable style has been retained in the building, as can be seen, for example, from the hand-painted numbers on the original wardrobe cabinets.
The harmonious interior design of the sanitary facilities also fully embraces Arne Jacobsen's vision: the elegant countertop basins from the Happy D.2 Plus series, the gently rounded mirrors from the Zencha series and the timelessly modern toilets from the ME by Starck series blend harmoniously into the 1932 architecture.
Jacobsens White Town
The area around the legendary Klampenborg beach is the result of Jacobsen's ideas and concepts – his total work of art. Arne Jacobsen had great visions when he designed the 'White City' in the early 1930s, which includes the Bella Vista residential complex, the Bellevue Theater and Bellevue beach. Jacobsen even designed the iconic lifeguard towers for the lido, in addition to the buildings. It remains a popular destination to this day, especially for architecture students interested in modernism.
