The WonderGliss coating, which is fired onto the ceramic, reduces the surface area available for dirt to cling to: the smooth surface prevents dirt and limescale from adhering, and any residue simply washes off with the water. Ceramics with WonderGliss coatings stay smooth and clean for much longer and are therefore extremely easy to clean. A soft cloth and gentle cleaning agent are all that is needed.

When it comes to sanitary facilities for children, everything has to be shorter, narrower and lower than in a "normal" bathroom. With small dimensions, low usage heights and, last but not least, easy-to-clean surfaces, a whole range of washbasin models are ideal for use in kindergartens and schools.

Robust and easy-care sinks are important in sanitary facilities that require regular and thorough cleaning. The Starck 3 sink without overflow, for example, is recommended here: ceramic is easy to clean and resistant to all disinfectants.

Children's independence can be encouraged in the toilet area in particular: by providing WCs that can be used independently without any problems. WCs for children are available in different heights and projections.

Children's WCs are available in floor-standing and wall-mounted versions. The latter are particularly hygienic as they make cleaning the floor easier.

A huge potential for saving water and costs can be achieved by reducing toilet flushing water. As early as the 1980s, Duravit was able to reduce the water consumption of WCs from 9 to 6 liters. Thanks to ongoing research and development, WCs today can flush hygienically with 4.5 or even fewer liters.

Partition walls between the urinals are recommended in public or semi-public sanitary facilities to preserve the user's privacy. The ceramic partition walls of the Starck 3 series are as elegant as they are easy to clean.
