Easy-care
Rimless toilets make cleaning considerably easier due to the toilet bowl without a rim. The flushing water reliably reaches every spot, thus avoiding limescale build-up under the rim. In addition, mild detergents are sufficient, as stubborn dirt is avoided by the flushing technology.
Hygienic
The rimless toilet bowl reduces bacteria and thus also pathogens to a minimum. With Duravit Rimless®, germs and deposits are a thing of the past, as they are flushed down by the innovative flushing technology.
Environmentally friendly
Thanks to modern, innovative flushing technology, maximum flushing performance with minimum water consumption is guaranteed. Compared to other models, rimless toilets only require between 3 and 4.5 liters per flush instead of up to 6 liters, making them very economical. In addition, the environment is not polluted by aggressive cleaning agents, as these can be largely avoided with rimless toilet bowls.
Design
Not only the exterior design, but also the interior of Duravit's rimless toilets is a real eye-catcher. Whether a floor-standing or a wall-hung rimless toilet depends on the architectural conditions and your individual preferences. Both variants have their advantages. With a wall-mounted toilet, as with toilets with a rim, for example, the installation height can be individually adjusted and it is easy to clean underneath the toilet.
How does a rimless toilet work?
In terms of function, toilets with a rim differ little from rimless toilets. The only difference is in their design. In a conventional toilet, the water flows out from beneath the rim when flushed. The rim is designed to prevent the water from splashing out. However, thanks to state-of-the-art flushing technologies, it is no longer necessary to rely on this feature. This is because many conventional rimmed toilets provide an ideal breeding ground for bacteria and dirt.
Thanks to the powerful water flow, the water in Duravit rimless toilets is directed all the way up to the rim of the toilet without overflowing. This ensures that the water reaches every part of the bowl with every flush—even with small amounts of water—and captures all debris, ensuring maximum hygiene and cleanliness. In toilets equipped with our special HygieneFlush technology, the flushing mechanism ensures a powerful, rotating, and thus splash-free flush thanks to two offset openings.
Our rimless toilets can also be finished with a ceramic glaze. With Duravit Rimless® toilets, you can choose a series featuring DuraShield®. This finish has antibacterial and water-repellent properties, making it particularly easy to clean since stubborn residues cannot adhere to the surface. Should the rimless toilet ever become soiled, the dirt can be easily removed using a mild citric acid-based cleaner, warm water, and a soft, clean cloth.
