The 'GERMAN HOUSING CONSTRUCTION AWARD 2019, REDENSIFICATION CATEGORY' recognizes the creative new building in a neighborhood location that offers a variety of qualities for residents and the neighborhood and sustainably enhances the area. For example, communal areas such as the roof terrace, rear courtyard and front garden are used and maintained by all residents.

The nested structure offers private outdoor space for each residential unit. All 17 apartments have at least one, and most have several, outdoor seating areas in the form of balconies, loggias and winter gardens, giving them a spacious, bright and airy feel. The building also includes two commercial units. Despite the different floor plans and uses, all the bathrooms are fitted with products from Duravit's D-Code series – a complete program with variants and solutions for every conceivable space, as well as discrete, timelessly modern forms.
