Artisan Lines

The craftsmanship that goes into the Duravit Artisan Lines is cultivated in our production facilities in Hornberg, Schenkenzell, Meissen and Bischwiller. We do not rely on mass production; instead, our products are manufactured with the utmost care and a special eye for even the smallest details. In order to ensure the special quality and individuality, the production at the Duravit Artisan Lines is not done purely by machine, but instead, expert hands are still used directly.

The selection of materials for Artisan Lines is also carried out with the greatest care. Thanks to the DuroCast material, which is produced using a mineral casting process, delicate, soft shapes such as those in the Vitrium or Bento Starck Box series can be effortlessly implemented, while at the same time giving them an extraordinary feel. This is how the designer baths of Artisan Lines become truly unique.

A veritable Who's Who of the design world is responsible for the Duravit Artisan Lines. Of course, the long-standing partner and star designer Philippe Starck is an indispensable part of this. Christian Werner, who conceives of the bathroom as a comfortable retreat, can also look back on several successful collaborations with Duravit. Sebastian Herkner, among others, has recently joined the ranks, and his first complete bathroom series stands for outstanding design quality.

Perfect proportions and precise contours – thanks to the golden ratio, the Aurena complete bathroom series from Antonio Citterio impresses with its precise, elegant look. The design principle, which is considered a formula for aesthetic harmony, plays a decisive role here. Thanks to the wide range of colors, sizes and finishes, Duravit Aurena is suitable for luxury bathrooms in any style.

In the Vitrium series by Christian Werner, different geometries come together for a minimalist design. Among other things, round countertop basins are combined with a linear console base cabinet, while the shallow depth of the furniture ensures that the products in the series can also be used in limited space. All the vanities in this series, as well as the WCs designed by Antonio Bullo, are also made of the high-quality mineral composite material DuroCast®.

Japanese influences also play a role in the Bento Starck Box series of bathrooms, designed by none other than Philippe Starck. The layout of the classic Japanese bento lunch box provided the inspiration here, and this can now be seen particularly strikingly in the series' sinks. The intelligent separation of wet and dry areas also makes for an aesthetic highlight.

The White Tulip series also arises from the inexhaustibly creative mind of Philippe Starck. It presents itself in two different versions, Nature and Culture. True to its name, the former mainly features subtle, natural colors and materials, while the latter focuses on expressive details. This is how a distinctive overall work of art is created.

With Zencha, design shooting star Sebastian Herkner – inspired by traditional Japanese rituals and craftsmanship – has created a well-thought-out bathroom series that combines unusual countertop basins with puristic furniture. The most striking design feature of the basin and bathtub is the rounded shape, which culminates in a delicate, softly outwardly curved rim.
