Antonio Bullo
Antonio Bullo was born in 1952 in the small town of Chioggia near Venice in Italy. After his studies at the University for Ceramics in Faenza and parallel to his diploma in sculpture at the Academy of Fine Arts in Venice, he began working with some of the most renowned Italian companies in the fields of ceramics and bathroom furniture. International success was not long in coming either, and was expressed, among other things, in the award of two Design Plus Awards at the ISH in Frankfurt. Antonio Bullo also works as a lecturer at the University for the Artistic Industries (ISIA) in Faenza.

A fusion of utility and aesthetics
Antonio Bullo himself says that he designed the Vitrium toilet series to give new content to objects that are otherwise reduced to the essential. This blurring of the boundaries between purely utilitarian objects and aesthetically pleasing objects can also be found in other of his works. The toilet designed by Antonio Bullo for Duravit embodies this through the various surface structures and color concepts, as well as through the uniqueness of the highly effective flushing system.
