rinsing tests
We test our products as realistically as possible in flushing tests. To do this, we add liquid or solid test substances to the ceramic basin, which must be completely flushed out. To ensure high quality, Duravit has developed its own flushing tests that go far beyond legal requirements.
By the way: All test substances, whether solid or liquid, are collected in special basins and reused or disposed of in a special way – they do not end up in the wastewater. The environment thanks you.
water exchange test
The water exchange test is designed to show how effectively the water is exchanged during the flushing process. This is tested using a 30 ml test liquid. If 99 percent of the colored water has been exchanged in the subsequent rinse, this is an indication that the toilet has been rinsed effectively and hygienically.
longevity tests
Longevity is a central task for us in product development – and that doesn't just refer to timeless design. That's why we also consider research and long-term tests on the functionality of our products and durability of the materials used to be a matter of course. Only in this way can we guarantee products that meet our standards and the needs of our customers.
In our laboratories, the functions, mechanics and materials of our products are tested up to 200,000 times. These long-term tests must be passed by the products without any impairment.
Endurance test of the SensoWash WCs' hairdryer function
All the functions of the SensoWash WCs undergo long-term testing. In up to 50,000 cycles, the dryer temperature, air volume and the temperature of the heated seat are tested to ensure that they remain constant for one minute.
noise tests
Duravit WCs and "SensoWash®" should be as quiet as possible. That is why they are subjected to volume measurements in our acoustics laboratories. These include, for example, the noise generated during flushing – important tests that are becoming increasingly important to us as a co-creator of healthy and livable homes.
Volume test during rinsing processes
The noise generated by the dishwasher and shower functions of Sensowash is measured in a completely soundproof room using a highly sensitive measuring device placed at five positions and a distance of one meter.
