Wellness for everyday at home
Bathtub types
Not every bathtub model is suitable for every room. That is why Duravit offers a wide selection of different models in a range of designs that meet the highest standards.

Corner bathtub
Corner bathtubs are true all-rounders. They fit into small or awkwardly shaped bathrooms and make ideal use of the space available. Depending on the available bathtub rim, the corner also provides a shelf for bathtub decorations and bathroom accessories. Large corner bathtubs, on the other hand, are also ideal as bathtubs for two people.

Freestanding bathtub
If you want your bathtub to make a special statement, you should opt for a freestanding bathtub. It looks best in generously proportioned and spacious bathrooms. This allows the elegant design to unfold its full effect. The shapes and sizes are varied and can be selected according to personal taste.

Pre-wall bathtub
A pre-wall bathtub is mounted with one side against the wall, while the other three sides are freestanding. For this reason, it is often referred to as a semi-freestanding bathtub. However, it often has the advantage over a completely freestanding bathtub in that it takes up less space due to its installation directly against the wall and allows for the use of a wall-mounted faucet.

Built-in bathtub
Built-in bathtubs are permanently integrated into the bathroom and are often tiled or clad. They offer a seamless look that blends harmoniously into the room design. At the same time, they can be installed in a very space-saving manner, offer plenty of storage space, and are easy to clean.

Mineral cast bathtub
Duravit's mineral cast bathtubs are made from DuroCast®. With their elegant appearance and velvety soft finish, the bathtubs feel warm to the touch and exude high quality. Thanks to the special manufacturing process used to produce the material, a wide variety of shapes are possible.

Acrylic bathtub
Acrylic bathtubs impress with their pleasantly smooth feel. They also have a shiny white finish that is easy to maintain. The material's excellent moldability and robustness allow for a wide variety of designs. Another advantage is the UV resistance of the colors.

The right size of a bathtub
The size of bathtub that is suitable depends not only on the room conditions but also on the height and shoulder width of the people who will be using it. But the intended use also plays an important role in deciding whether a small bathtub or rather a large bathtub is the optimal solution.
Three criteria to help you choose the right size
- Length:
A good rule of thumb for bathtub length is that you should be able to submerge yourself up to your neck and stretch out your legs as fully as possible to ensure a comfortable sitting position. - Width:
To comfortably fit the shoulders, the bathtub width should be at least 5-10 cm more than the shoulder width. - Comfort:
In a multi-person household, everyone should find the tub comfortable if possible. Therefore, it may make sense to base your decision on the largest person. The angle of the backrest is also crucial for sitting and lying comfort.
