Shower trays with a timeless design

Walk-in shower trays
Flush-to-floor installation is particularly suitable for open, walk-in showers and offers a barrier-free bathroom solution with a high level of comfort. In addition to the modern design, this also avoids tripping hazards. Shower trays that are flush with the floor are also very easy to clean. Especially in new buildings, more and more shower trays are being installed flush with the floor, as this is not always possible during renovations. The reason for this is that modern new buildings almost always have underfloor heating and therefore enough height in the screed to install the shower flush with the tiles. This is not always the case in renovations.

Semi-recessed shower trays
The semi-recessed version is suitable when shower trays cannot be installed flush with the floor. This may be because the screed is often not thick enough when renovating. Alternatively, the shower tray can also protrude slightly so that the installation height can be kept as low as possible. The number of centimetres involved depends on the structural conditions on site and the installation. Semi-recessed shower trays are therefore ideal for renovations.

Surface-mounted shower trays
Surface-mounted shower trays are easy to install because they just have to be placed on the screed or tiles. For example, the maximum height of the trays in our Stonetto Series is 5 cm. This installation option is usually chosen when the shower tray cannot be installed flush with the floor and is particularly suitable for renovations.

Care instructions for shower trays

DuroCast® UltraResist and DuroCast® Nature
Shower trays made of the solid surface material DuroCast® UltraResist or DuroCast® Nature can also be cleaned with a soft cloth and warm water. Detergents, standard cleaning agents and eraser sponges can also be used to help with stubborn dirt or stains. However, abrasive cleaning agents such as scouring cream, scouring cloths or hard sponges should be avoided, as should concentrated acids or alkalis (e.g. caustic soda/potash lye/drain cleaner).

Acrylic
Shower trays made of acrylic should be cleaned with a soft cloth and warm water. Abrasive cloths and aggressive cleaning agents should be avoided. Scratches and superficial damage can also be repaired with a repair kit.
Shower tray accessories
Wall profile
The Duravit wall profile for the shower trays in the D-Code series is used for sound insulation. It is 3,300 mm long and 70 mm wide.
Sound insulation set
The sound insulation set for shower trays offered by Duravit can be purchased additionally on request. According to the testing and certification of the Frauenhofer Institute, it meets the requirements of VDI 4100 and DIN 4109 for sound insulation as well as the stricter Swiss standard SIA 181 on unfinished floors (when installed flush with the floor).
Shower trays made of DuroCast do not necessarily require a base frame, unless there is sufficient space (floor depth). The advantage is the easy installation and the uncomplicated adjustment of the tray height, so that the upper edge is flush with the tiles.
Shower tray drain system
The performance of the shower tray drain has been optimized by developing a new drain system that can handle increased water flow from large shower heads and rain showers.
You can find the right accessories for your desired Duravit shower tray on the respective product detail page.
