Sink faucets

The perfect sink faucet for every design

At the beginning of the 20th century, washbasin faucets with a mixer tap function were the most common in the world. For more comfort, the single-lever and single-hand mixers were developed for the bathroom. With these faucets, only one lever is used to adjust the strength of the water jet and the water temperature at the same time. But not all sink faucets are the same. There is a model to match every sink, every bathroom cabinet and every taste.

Types of sink faucets

Sink faucets can look quite different. This is partly due to the functionality and partly to the wide range of design options. In addition, the sink faucets can be technically differentiated, for example, with regard to their connection. At Duravit, faucets are generally available with a connection (1-hole faucet). Concealed faucets and cold water faucets are also available in the range.

Single-lever basin mixer from Duravit in chrome

Single-lever mixer (single-hole faucet)

The faucet of this faucet has only one lever, which can be used to determine the intensity of the water jet and the water temperature. This makes operation completely intuitive. Since a pleasant water temperature can be found quickly, water consumption is kept potentially low. Single-lever mixers from Duravit are available in two different versions: with or without a pop-up waste set for opening and closing the drain valve.

Concealed faucets

Concealed faucets have a mixing valve built into the wall for mixing the water. The operating elements and the water outlet, i.e. the tap and the mixing lever/knob, protrude horizontally from the wall. For the operating element, you can choose between a lever or a knob that is pressed.

Cold water faucets

In addition to conventional mixer faucets, our Duravit portfolio also includes cold water faucets. These are faucets that only dispense cold water, as they are only connected to the cold water supply. Since they are usually smaller, cold water faucets are suitable for small guest toilets and toilets in restaurants, offices or shops. The handle is used to turn the water on and off.

Series with sink faucets

Designs of various sink faucets

When looking for the right faucet for your sink, it is important to consider the shapes and moods of the rest of the bathroom design. There are two very different designs and styles.

Rounded and round sink faucets

These faucets have a rather gentle effect and radiate a certain lightness due to their round or rounded shape. Tip: Round sink faucets look particularly harmonious in bathrooms that are decorated in a country house or retro style.

Angular sink faucets

In principle, angular, straight lines can look good in any bathroom. However, they are particularly suitable for bathrooms with a modern and clean look. Tip: Faucets in black for the sink are another modern and extraordinary way to accentuate your bathroom.

Sizes of various sink faucets

There is a suitable faucet for every size of sink. We offer a comprehensive selection of sizes from S to XL in our range. Find out which faucet size is best combined with which sink here:

Size S-M

These two sizes are particularly suitable for smaller and classic sinks, such as a hand sink or a built-in sink. For the small hand sink, we only recommend size S.

Size L-XL

Faucets like these look best when combined with countertop sinks. Since the water outlet has a certain height, the water "falls" a greater distance than with lower taps. Countertop sinks with their high wash bowls are ideal for catching possible water splashes. Due to the height of the wash bowls, only tall taps are suitable here. Faucets sizes L and XL are always placed behind or next to the bowl.

Duravit faucets

Designed in the typical original Duravit design, the faucet lines can be perfectly combined with all bathroom series.

Water & energy saving through Duravit features

Many Duravit sink faucets are available with the MinusFlow function, which significantly reduces water consumption (3.5 instead of 5.0 l/min). Some Duravit single-lever mixers also feature the innovative FreshStart function. In the middle position, only cold water flows. Hot water is only added when the handle is deliberately moved to the left. This Duravit single-lever mixer ensures that resources are used sparingly and is particularly energy-efficient.
