Hand showers for flexibility
Duravit shower heads are available in different finishes, depending on which design best suits the bathroom. In addition, there is a choice of two designs for the shower heads: either as a hand shower or as a shower head. The shower heads are attached to a hose and held on a bar by the shower head holder. In this composition, the shower head also imitates an overhead shower. Showerheads allow for flexible handling and can thus be used to wash shampoo and shower gel off the body in a targeted manner. Another major advantage is the universal applicability of the showerheads: the Duravit hand showers and rod hand showers can be easily combined with the shower and bathtub faucets.
Overhead showers for the perfect wellness moment
Overhead showers are either ceiling or wall mounted and, thanks to their large shower surface, provide a soothing jet of water that envelops the whole body. The shower head of the Duravit overhead showers has a variety of nozzles to ensure the pleasure of a relaxing rain shower. To provide even greater comfort, the angle of the shower head holder can be adjusted thanks to a ball joint.
Shower heads not only fulfill a functional purpose, but can also be a design element in any bathroom. To ensure that the ideal overhead shower also fits into your bathroom, you can choose between shower heads in square and round designs. There are also various options available in terms of materials and colors: in the bathroom, the overhead shower can be used either as a rain shower in a black look, two-tone in chrome and white, or in a shiny silver chrome finish.

The Duravit showerheads are equipped with different spray patterns to provide special pampering moments while showering or bathing. These consist of different settings. This means that the shower head can also be used as a rain shower. The different spray patterns are set using a rotating spray disc.

Your home rain shower
A rain shower is primarily characterized by its large shower head, which allows the entire body to be enveloped simultaneously by a warm jet of water – similar to standing in the rain. Synonyms that are frequently mentioned in this context include rainforest shower and tropical shower.

As an alternative to ceiling mounting, the rain shower head can also be mounted on the wall using an arm. The enveloping water jet continues to come from above.

If you have a concealed faucet in your shower, the ideal place to install the rain shower head is at the ceiling. A shower arm is required as a connecting piece to the water connection.

Is your bathroom decorated in dark colors? No problem! Duravit's shower heads for a rain shower are available in black matt. Those who prefer a timeless design can alternatively choose a Shower faucets in chrome. You can choose between a round or square rain shower.
Selected models are also available in three additional high-quality PVD finishes: brushed stainless steel, brushed bronze and polished gold. Thanks to the state-of-the-art coating process, the chrome finish is refined in such a way that it not only gets a special look from the color, but is also more robust and less sensitive to scratches and cleaning agents.
What you should look out for in a rain shower
Due to the large surface of a rain shower head, more water also flows. To be able to handle the resulting amounts of water without problems, the following aspects should be considered when taking a shower:
- The water drainage must be able to easily divert the accumulating water volumes.
- Exposed water pipes must be adapted for a rain shower.
- If there is a flow heater, it must be able to produce enough hot water.

Just like the shower heads in the overhead showers, the rod and hand showers are also equipped with the MinusFlow and EasyClean functions.
MinusFlow
One special feature of Duravit overhead showers is the MinusFlow function. This makes showering particularly water-efficient, as the flow rate is limited to a maximum of 9 l/min. This water-saving shower head ensures reduced water and energy consumption. For hand showers, this corresponds to a 40% reduction in water consumption compared to showers without MinusFlow, and for overhead showers, up to 60%.
EasyClean
Another feature is the EasyClean finish. This makes cleaning the overhead shower and hand shower very easy. Thanks to EasyClean, limescale and dirt deposits on the shower heads can simply be rubbed off.
