Installation options for shower faucets
Depending on the bathroom design and the existing connections, there are different options for installing shower faucets:
Shower faucet: surface-mounted
Exposed shower faucets are installed on the wall, with the faucet and shower connection on the wall. This classic installation method is particularly suitable for renovation projects, as the bathroom faucet can be easily replaced on the existing hot and cold water connections.
Shower faucet: concealed installation
With a concealed faucet, everything except the operating elements is located behind the wall. This has the advantage that nothing sticks out, making it particularly space-saving in the shower and easy to clean. Shower faucets are characterized by a minimalist and unobtrusive look thanks to the concealed installation.
Functionality options for shower faucets
Shower faucets can be distinguished not only by the type of installation, but also by the water treatment. Therefore, you can choose between a shower faucet with a thermostat and a shower mixer.
Shower thermostat
The great advantage of this shower faucet is that it maintains a constant water temperature by automatically compensating for any fluctuations. This avoids a long and unnecessary flow of water while you are finding a comfortable temperature, which is an important factor in saving energy and resources. Thermostatic shower faucets are available in both surface-mounted and concealed versions.
Shower mixers
With the single-lever shower mixer, the water temperature and volume are adjusted using the single control element. Thanks to the intuitive lever operation, the correct temperature can be easily set. As with the shower thermostats, you can also choose between surface-mounted and concealed installation for these mixer faucets for the shower.
Shower faucets as a complete package
Our shower faucet sets are an all-in-one solution: the Duravit Shower Systems. All the components, from hand and overhead showers to shower rails, brackets and hoses, are already included. This makes it an ideal solution for renovations, among other things. Duravit Shower Systems are surface-mounted, with a choice of thermostat or single-lever shower mixer.

The BlueBox is an all-in-one solution for all Duravit concealed installations. Once installed in the wall, it forms the basis for the concealed shower faucets. Since the shower faucets then only have to be mounted, this makes replacement particularly easy. The BlueBox is therefore a great help, especially when renovating or if you want to remain flexible in terms of design.
