Installation options for bathtub faucets
Depending on how you want to design your bathroom and which connections are already available, you can choose between three variants of bathtub faucets from Duravit:
Bathtub faucet: exposed
This exposed bath mixer is mounted completely on the wall, including the bath filler and shower connection. The big advantage of this is the cost-effective and uncomplicated installation.
Since Duravit bath faucets can always combine bathing and showering, all you need is an additional shower hose and hand shower to be able to shower in the bath as well. Both can also be found in the Duravit range under shower heads and shower heads.
Bathtub faucet: concealed
With the concealed faucet, only the controls are visible. The water is not mixed directly in the concealed bathtub faucet, but in a separate body, which, like the faucet, is installed in the wall. With the matching bathtub spout or a practical hand shower as a supplement, a perfect wellness moment is created. The latter also allows you to shower in your bathtub.
Floor-mounted faucets for the bathtub
Our floor-mounted faucets for the bathtub are available as single-lever bath mixers. Freestanding bathtubs with the corresponding floor-standing bath faucet are particularly effective in spacious bathrooms, giving them an elegant atmosphere.
Important: These bath faucets require connections that come out of the floor.
How bathtub faucets work
Just as the various types of installation can be distinguished, so can the way your bath water is treated. You therefore have the choice between a bathtub faucet with thermostat and a single-lever bath mixer.
Bath faucet with thermostat
Thermostats have the advantage that a desired temperature can be set, which ensures a constant water temperature. This way, you avoid the long and unused flow of water while searching for a comfortable temperature – an energy and resource-saving alternative. The Duravit thermostatic bath mixers are available in both exposed and concealed versions.
Bathtub mixer
With single-lever bathtub mixers, you can control the strength of the water jet and the water temperature with a single lever. Thanks to the intuitive lever operation, there is no need to search long for the right temperature, which also helps to keep water consumption low with this type of bathtub faucet. As with thermostats, you can choose between surface-mounted and concealed bathtub mixer taps.
Easy installation: the BlueBox
The BlueBox is an all-in-one solution for all Duravit concealed installations. It is installed in the wall and provides the base for the concealed bathtub faucets. Once it has been installed, over 65 different Duravit bathtub faucets can be mounted on it. When renovating a bathroom, the base set remains in the wall and the corresponding concealed bath mixer can be easily replaced – in theory several times. The perfect solution if you want to remain flexible in terms of design.
