Whirlpool baths with air system
The 12 floor nozzles of the Duravit air system offer a pleasant whirlpool experience by adding air. Thanks to their flat design, they fit perfectly into the bathtub surface because they are integrated directly into the tub floor as barely visible, tiny holes. They can be switched on and off with the help of a discreet, one-touch button on the side of the tub. The air nozzles are very easy to clean and are also suitable for use with hard water.

Whirlpool baths with a jet system
Six flat, adjustable nozzles are embedded in the side walls of the whirlpool bathtub in the Duravit jet system. The water pressure can be adjusted using a controller located on the edge of the tub. Your body will be massaged either gently or powerfully. The bubbling water-air mixture stimulates the tissue under the skin. This can relieve muscle pain and tension and stimulate blood circulation in the body. For the added feel-good factor, you can expand the jet system to include an LED colored light.

Whirlpool baths with combi-system
The combi-system p adds four special back massage nozzles to the side and floor nozzles, which massage the shoulders and loins with a water-air mixture. It is operated via a pneumatic switch and an air regulator integrated into the edge of the whirlpool tub.
The combi-system e also has two adjustable water-air nozzles that stimulate the reflex zones in the foot area. Two white LED spotlights also create a pleasant mood. The electronic control on the edge of the whirlpool tub is particularly convenient. In addition, the Combi-System E can be optionally equipped with a heater.

Frequently asked questions
How does a whirlpool bathtub work?
Whirlpool bathtubs are all-in-one solutions. They offer the advantages of a whirlpool but can also be used as a normal bathtub at any time.
Structure
Whirlpool tubs have several integrated massage nozzles on the backrest, tub floor and/or sides, which are recessed into the tub surface. This means that they do not in the slightest impair the comfort of the Duravit whirlpool tubs. The whirlpool system and the associated massage function can be easily controlled via the control panel. The large lying surface also ensures there is enough room for two people, depending on the model.
Function
At the push of a button, the water in the whirlpool bathtub is sucked up by a pump in the inlet nozzles, enriched with air and released again through the vortex nozzles. The intensity of the water pressure depends on the adjustable air admixture, so that the massage jet can be adjusted to be softer or harder as desired. In contrast, a blower draws in air and blows it into the tub through the floor nozzles, creating relaxing air bubbles.
Control
In modern whirlpool bathtubs, the individual sectors of the massage nozzles can also be controlled separately, so that, for example, a pure back or whole body massage can be set. This deeply relaxing massage increases your sense of well-being and ensures pleasurable moments of wellness.
What is the difference between a whirlpool and a whirlpool bathtub?
Water exchange
Since a whirlpool bathtub has all the functions of a bathtub, the water is drained after each bath. A hot tub, on the other hand, is always filled with water and can be used at any time. This is due to a filter system that keeps the water clean even over a longer period of time. Usually, chlorine is added to the water for this purpose. Depending on the care, water quality and use, it is recommended to change the water two to three times a year.
Maintenance
Whirlpool bathtubs require more maintenance than bathtubs with a whirlpool function, since the water quality must be checked several times a week manually with a test strip. It is recommended to disinfect the water with chemicals and to clean it regularly, for example, to correct the pH value and prevent algae formation. The nozzles and pipes should be thoroughly cleaned of deposits and calcification at the same time. Maintaining a hot tub requires only a little more effort than maintaining a conventional bathtub.
Water temperature
Without an additional integrated heater, the water in a whirlpool bathtub only stays warm for a limited period of time. With an optional heater, the heat loss during bathing in the whirlpool tub can be compensated for and kept constant at 38 degrees.
Place
One important difference between a whirlpool tub and a hot tub is that the latter is suitable for installation both indoors and in the garden. It requires significantly more space because it is usually designed for several people. The nice thing about a whirlpool tub, on the other hand, is that it can fit even in small bathrooms. What's more, a whirlpool tub is multifunctional. Besides the option of using it for a classic full bath, it can also be used as a shower.
Costs
In general, a hot tub is more expensive than a whirlpool bathtub. This is also due to the higher energy consumption, since the water in the hot tub is constantly being circulated, heated and filtered. This results in constant operating noise and costs. In addition, the practical 2-in-1 usability of the whirlpool tub should be mentioned again.
Are whirlpool bathtubs good for your health?

Whirlpool bathtubs not only have a relaxing effect. The pleasant water pressure loosens the muscles, stimulates muscle regeneration and can alleviate joint pain. The bubbling water stimulates the tissue under the skin and promotes blood circulation. It also activates the metabolism and massages the reflex zones. This is why using a whirlpool bathtub can be particularly effective in reducing stress and relieving tension. It promotes inner balance and harmony and brings body and mind into harmony.
How do you clean whirlpool bathtubs?
To enjoy your whirlpool bathtub for many years to come, it is advisable to maintain it regularly. But what should you bear in mind when cleaning a whirlpool bathtub?
Cleaning the bathtub finish
The bathtub finish should be cleaned regularly (after 10 to 15 uses) or immediately if the surface is dirty, using a cleaner based on acetic or citric acid or a cleaning agent specially designed for whirlpools. When cleaning a whirlpool bathtub, it is important to use a lint-free cloth, as small lint particles can clog the whirlpool system. To avoid scratches or damage to the bathtub finish, the cloth should ideally be made of cotton, not microfiber. Spray cleaners should also be applied to the cloth first and not directly to the surface. For matt finishes on bathtubs made of sanitary acrylic, we recommend using a silicone-free cleaning agent. The right way to clean and care for your whirlpool bathtub depends mainly on the material of the tub. Whirlpool tubs made of DuraSolid® require a different treatment than acrylic whirlpool tubs. Therefore, always refer to the care instructions of the respective whirlpool tub for the right choice of cleaning agent.
Cleaning the pipe system
The nozzles, pipes and pump system of a whirlpool bathtub can theoretically calcify and should therefore be regularly disinfected. The whirlpool system should be cleaned of residues such as foaming additives before the first use and after every ten baths, or at least once a month and after longer periods of inactivity, so that its function is not impaired. To do this, 0.5 liters of household chlorine cleaner can be used per 100 liters of cold water, which circulates through the pipe system at the highest intensity with all jets switched on for two hours. Then the water is drained, rinsed with clean water and all jets are switched on again for 30 seconds. After that, the water is drained again and the blow-out process is started.
