With the Cape Cod above-counter basin, Philippe Starck has taken high-quality, shapely materials and turned them into a filigree wash bowl that exudes extraordinary flair. Extremely thin walls (of only 0.5 cm; depending on the model) are made possible thanks to the use of specially developed DuraCeram® ceramic, known for its high strength and elegant finish. A hygienic and easy-care material that is also extremely robust and scratch-resistant. The circular design of the wash bowl comes into its own on bathroom furniture or consoles, for which it is ideally suited thanks to the ground underside. The elegant look is ingeniously complemented by wall faucets or basin mixers with a raised base. The optional water-repellent WonderGliss ceramic finish also makes cleaning extra easy.

DuraCeram®, an innovative material developed by Duravit, is a special ceramic mass with particularly high impact resistance. It also enables particularly delicate forms to be realised with extremely thin edges, just 5 mm thick. This is also done without any loss of quality, robustness, and ease of cleaning.
