Wall-mounted toilet with or without a rim
Traditionally, toilets were designed with a rim to direct the flush water in the right direction. Thanks to technological advances, all toilets—including wall-mounted models—are now available in rimless versions. The advantage here is easier cleaning and improved hygiene overall, as bacteria have a harder time adhering to the surface. Converting from a floor-standing to a wall-mounted toilet
If you wish to convert from a floor-standing toilet to a wall-mounted toilet, you must first consider the structural conditions. For a floor-standing toilet with a wall outlet—where the pipe runs horizontally through the wall—the conversion can be done without any problems. For a floor-standing toilet with a floor outlet—where the drain pipe runs vertically into the floor—the process requires significantly more effort. In any case, you should always seek professional help from a plumber.
