Water-saving faucets for lower water consumption
All Duravit faucets are designed as water-saving products as standard. All Duravit sink faucets are therefore reduced to an economical consumption of 5.5 l/min, while maintaining the same high level of comfort. In addition, there are other innovative features that make it easy to save water in everyday life.

Save water with MinusFlow
MinusFlow saves water automatically. A flow limiter in the aerator limits the flow rate from the outset. This significantly reduces consumption.
Fact: MinusFlow limits the flow rate of sink faucets from a maximum of 5.5 l/min to 3.5 l/min. This corresponds to savings of up to 40% of the water flowing out. Hand showers also offer savings of up to 40%, and overhead showers even up to 60%. This means annual savings of up to $144.50 for sink faucets, up to $1,079.195 for hand showers, and up to $2,697.97 for overhead showers.

Save water with AirPlus
Thanks to the AirPlus feature, the water jet is additionally enriched with air. This not only saves water, but also makes the jet pleasantly full and soft and ensures less water splashing around the sink. AirPlus is available for standard fittings and for the respective MinusFlow variants.
Fact: AirPlus combines water saving with extra comfort.

Save energy with FreshStart
Single-lever mixers in the energy-saving FreshStart version only supply cold water when the lever is in the middle position. For hot water, the lever must be actively turned to the left. This means that the water is only heated when it is actually needed. And the visually appealing middle position of the handle can also be used without unnecessary hot water consumption.
Fact: Duravit FreshStart faucets offer full control over hot water consumption and therefore effectively reduce energy consumption in everyday life. With FreshStart, a family of four can save an average of over 300 kg of CO² per year², which corresponds to 751.33 kWh or up to $277.99.*

FAQs: Saving energy and water
Why should you save water?
Drinking water is becoming scarcer and more expensive worldwide. Per capita consumption is also very high in Germany. To ensure sustainable water consumption worldwide, we need to use (drinking) water much more carefully. The aim is to sensitize us and to question our own consumption.
How can you save water?
Saving water is not that difficult. More conscious use, such as switching off the washbasin tap when brushing your teeth, can make a big difference. As a general rule, water should be switched off when it is not immediately needed. Water-saving taps help with actual use.
Who can save water?
Every single person can save water. It is true that individuals can have little or no influence on water consumption, for example in the production of goods. Nevertheless, a great deal can be achieved by individuals using water more consciously. Ideally, awareness of this should be raised from an early age.
Where can you save water?
Water can be saved in all areas of everyday life. In the household, the focus here is particularly on the bathroom and kitchen. But water can also be saved through more conscious consumer behavior, for example by paying attention to the amount of water used to produce certain goods.
When can you save water?
You can basically save water at any time in everyday life. But also at other times, such as on vacation. The easiest way to save energy is to reduce unnecessary energy consumption in everyday life. As a rule, this can be done without much effort. When heating, the temperature should not be set too high and should not be left on for an unnecessarily long time.

You can actually almost always save energy. In addition to everyday life, it is worth paying attention to the use of heating or air conditioning and lighting when on vacation, for example. These are often switched on in advance, even if they are not actually needed.
