Floor-standing toilet with or without a tank
Whether you need a tank for a floor-standing toilet is certainly one of the key considerations when making your selection. The following combinations are available:

Floor-standing toilet with wall-mounted tank
In this version, the floor-standing toilet and the tank form a single visual unit. This makes it particularly easy to create aesthetic accents.

Floor-standing toilet with a concealed tank
With this type of installation, there is no visible toilet tank; instead, the flushing components are installed behind the wall. This solution creates a particularly clean, streamlined look.
Floor-standing toilet with a vertical or horizontal outlet
When choosing a floor-standing toilet, the structural layout of the bathroom should also be taken into account. For floor-standing toilets, a vertical outlet can be selected provided that the drain pipe also runs vertically through the floor. Conversely, floor-standing toilets with a horizontal outlet are particularly suitable for pipes running horizontally within the wall. However, if the structural requirements do not align with personal preferences, Vario kits can be used to install models with either a vertical or horizontal outlet onto the other type of drain.
Water flow in a floor-standing toilet
The water flow in floor-standing toilets can also be selected according to individual preferences. You can choose between washdown and washout toilets, as well as those with or without a rim.

Washdown and washout toilets
The difference lies in the internal design of the toilet. The floor-standing toilet with a washdown toilet is the more common, modern version, while the floor-standing toilet with a washout toilet is primarily found in medical settings.

With or without a rim
While a rim was once standard primarily for technical reasons, rimless floor-standing toilets are no longer an issue in modern bathrooms. The advantages of rimless floor-standing toilets include improved hygiene and easier cleaning, combined with effective flushing performance.
Duravit's special floor-standing toilets
Duravit's wide selection of floor-standing toilets offers the perfect solution for every bathroom. It also easily accommodates more specific needs.

Rimless toilets
With Duravit Rimless®, rimless floor-standing toilets are, of course, also available from Duravit.

Superior hygiene thanks to special features
DuraShield provides protection against bacteria, while HygieneFlush technology ensures optimal flushing without splashing, thanks to an innovative water flow design.

Floor-standing toilets for special requirements
Duravit's raised-height floor-standing toilets provide easier access for people with physical limitations. Lower-height floor-standing toilets, on the other hand, are an especially good solution for children or small guest bathrooms.
The floor-standing toilet as a bidet toilet
A floor-standing toilet with a bidet function is a particularly hygienic and comfortable bathroom solution. Duravit’s SensoWash® bidet toilets also offer numerous additional features for maximum comfort.
