  • Sergei Tchoban

    Sergei Tchoban, a German architect of Russian descent, was born in 1962 in St. Petersburg, where he studied architecture at the Academy of Arts. He then worked as an architect in Russia from 1986 to 1990. In 1990, he came to Germany “with a suitcase full of drawings”. He has been a partner at nps tchoban voss since 1995. Today he has architectural offices in Berlin, Hamburg and Dresden, as well as in Moscow, and is involved in the construction of major buildings throughout Europe. He is a leading light in the planning of large-scale projects and is responsible for several building projects in Berlin and Saint Petersburg. He became known to a wider public in 2004 when he was the main designer of Europe’s tallest skyscraper, the Federation Tower in Moscow.  Other selected projects include the headquarters of E-Plus in Düsseldorf and the conversion of the Kunst- und Handwerkerhof in Berlin. In 2004, he also founded the SPeeCH office in Moscow and curates and exhibits in several exhibitions both at home and abroad. Tchoban is a member of the American Society of Architectural Illustrators.
