James Irvine

The Italo Brit. As a boy, he wanted to be an entomologist. Intensive tinkering with his first moped, however, took James Irvine down a different track: designer. In this capacity - after apprenticeship years with Ettore Sottass and Michele de Lucchi - he turned his attention back to roadworthiness and in the 90s designed the Hanover city bus. Today he above all designs furniture and lamps for Artemide, B&B Italia or Thonet.
