Sex and the City Make Movie Magic

Fashion is the branch of design most commonly associated with the glamorous world portrayed in “Sex and the City”. However, in the recently released movie version of the popular television show, industrial design aids in a key plot twist in the form of Duravit’s award-winning pool tub, Blue Moon.

Designed by Jochen Schmiddem, Blue Moon features a circular water pool, perfectly complemented by a sleek square surround. With a generous 21” (56 cm) depth and capacity of almost 137 gallons (520 litres), Blue Moon allows users to float almost weightlessly in its warm water, providing the ideal space for one to freely adopt various positions.

What better tub to occupy the sleek Malibu home that the lusty “Samantha Jones” shares with “Smith”. Blue Moon is the site of some steamy scenes where “Samantha” secretly watches as her neighbor romances a seemingly endless series of hapless women.
