Clever solutions with Happy D. from Duravit

The often limited space in bathrooms and powder rooms, in particular, poses a great challenge for designers and planners. Ideally, bathroom fittings should be as comfortable and individualistic as possible, making maximum use of the available space. Duravit’s Happy D. bathroom range provides the perfect solution when it comes to furnishing or enhancing small bathrooms and powder rooms.  

The most identifiable characteristic of the Happy D. range is its distinctive D-shaped profile. From the bath to bathroom furniture, from ceramics to accessories, these unique classic-archaic lines run through the Happy D. range in its entirety, right down to the smallest details. Space-saving handrinse basins, which measure 46 and 50 cm wide and feature a 25 or 34 cm projection, will fit effortlessly into almost any powder room. The clear-cut lines of this design are carried through to the wall-mounted WC and bidet, which are also available as free-standing models.

The Happy D. furniture units offer space-saving exterior dimensions and generous interiors. New to the collection is a vanity unit with a curved door, designed to pair perfectly with the 46 cm handrinse basin. The link from bowl to vanity unit is highlighted by a narrow, all-around chrome strip that brilliantly unites both elements. When opened, the vanity unit reveals a generous amount of practical storage space, which is underscored by a glass shelving and a double railing designed to keep everything securely in place.

The Happy D. vanity units are a perfect match for the form of the washbasins, which start at just 44 cm wide; the most narrow washbasin console measuring 55 cm. Each is complemented by modular and stand-alone furniture, including a tall cabinet that is a stately 176 cm high and just 36 cm deep, and wall cabinets ranging from 50 cm wide to 18 cm deep. The “container on casters,” which features a removable tray, offers systematic order and is always accessible thanks to its mobility.

A vast line-up of mirrors and mirrored cabinets,    which start at 50 cm in width, add the ultimate finishing touch to the mini-bathroom furnishings. Real wood veneer finishes including American walnut, American cherry, and Macassar as well as the new Whitewashed oak, and the Sycamore and White high-gloss décors, add comfort and freedom of movement to bathrooms and powder rooms while creating a very personal, inviting atmosphere.
